Getting started
The sport is all about matching gems in direct lines of 3 or more. Match some gems and they’ll become troops. These troops will then march up the display and hit any monsters they come in contact .

That is an important thing to consider though. Should you match a group of gems on one side of the display, they’re not likely to ramble over to another. Troops always walk straight up from where they’re matched.

That does not indicate that matching gems that aren’t likely to score you a hit is a waste of time though. Match a few green gems, as an instance, and they’ll add some mana to some green character that you have got in your army.

Character colours
Different monsters also have various colors. You can use this to determine what you have to be hitting them with. Pay attention to the wheel in the upper left corner of this display to find out which colour gems are strongest against which colour characters.

Sometimes you’e not likely to have the ability to move the board around to utilize the most powerful colors, but keep in mind that it is always much better to utilize any colour instead of the one that is weakest against the opponent that you’re fighting.

It’s best to have as mixed a group of characters as you can, because that is likely to set you in good stead whatever you come up against. But you can see what you’re likely to be fighting before you set out on a degree, so if you’ve got lots of powerful characters you can tailor your own army.
